2016 Service Review - Calgary Transit
Calgary Transit is looking to improve transit service in the Northwest of Calgary that will improve both the customer experience and The City’s ability to deliver service. Calgary Transit is seeking your feedback on the proposed changes. In Ward 1, Silver Springs and Scenic Acres are affected.
The City’s Transit team thanks you for participating in the past Community Consultation Team (CCT) meetings. Changes have been made to the proposed Routes 37/43/137/143 based on feedback from the CCT meetings. It had been suggested that these routes be reworked to maintain continuous travel from Scenic Acres through to destinations on the Crowfoot side. All of Scenic Acres will be within walking distance of the 43, which will provide a direct service to the YMCA, library, and Robert Thirsk High School. Silver Springs routes will take a more direct path into Crowfoot Station and terminate there.
Calgary Transit will continue consultation with the wider public through a series of open houses, pop-up info sessions, and online feedback. The web survey will run until March 14th, 2016. Calgary Transit is holding several public engagements events to inform the public of proposed bus route changes that impact Silver Springs and other areas in Calgary. For information on what routes are affected and dates for the open houses, visit Calgary Transit's website.
