Dear Ward 1 residents,
Remembrance Day is the day in which we honour those men and women who have served and continue to serve our country during times of war, conflict and peace. Due to the selfless sacrifices of Canadian soldiers, notably those who served in the First and Second World Wars as well as the subsequent conflicts, many younger and new Canadians have never experienced war. Remembrance Day is the time to remember those people who have served our country so that we are safe from war.
On November 11th, come and join me in at the annual The Royal Canadian Legion, Bowness Branch 238 Remembrance Day Ceremonies. This year, the Legion is holding the ceremonies at TB Riley School due to unfinished renovations at the Bowness Sportsplex. The Royal Canadian Legion, Bowness Branch 238 Remembrance Day Ceremonies start at 10:30 a.m. For more information, go to: www.rcl238.com or visit: https://www.facebook.com/Bowness-Legion-238.
