Sarcee Trail Extension – Bowmount Park

Councillor Sutherland is requesting that residents of Varsity and Silver Springs participate in a short survey regarding the strip of land, commonly referred to as the Sarcee Trail Extension or 199R Silverview Way. To participate in this survey, you must be a resident of Varsity or Silver Springs.

199R Silverview Way was originally planned to become part of the Sarcee Trail. However, this will no longer occur, as the land title changed from Roads Department to Parks. Parks views this piece of land as the natural entranceway into Bowmount Park. To permanently protect 199R Silverview Way as the natural entranceway, a land use change is required. If 199R Silverview Way land use remains unchanged, it could potentially be used for developmental purposes. The survey seeks to find out what residents would like to see for the future of 199R Silverview Way. Please go to
