Ward 1 News: Seniors Assistance for Tree Debris

  • Share

Ward 1 official website

Our City crews, along with citizens, are pulling together to restore the city. City crews are deployed city-wide and focus remains on critical safety issues and the safety of public spaces.

For seniors and those who are physically challenged, CEMA and the City Links program are here to help. Citizens can call 311 and ask for the "Seniors Home Maintenance" Service Request to get assistance.

We encourage you to help neighbours to clear small tree debris like small branches and leaves, but only do what you can do safely – don`t put yourself at risk. All three City Landfills are operating on extended hours accepting tree debris and as of tomorrow all 33 Leaf & Pumpkin drop-off locations will as well.

Your help with the small stuff will help City crews get to the big stuff faster. This effort will take time but once again Calgary`s community spirit shines through. Thanks to all Calgarians for your patience and support.

Take care of each other and stay safe!
