Shouldice Athletic Park Redevelopment - 13 Ave NW Rebuild – Temporary Closure
Water Resources is funding the rebuild of 13 Avenue NW this summer. This will contribute significantly to user experience by improving access and contributing to the overall aesthetics of the park. An upcoming newsletter in July will inform residents of the temporary closure of 13 Avenue NW from July 13 – August 4th, and will include instructions for accessing the site. This information was also posted to calgary.ca and provided to 311.
• Light base installation and electrical connection is complete
• Backfilling of north and south locker buildings is underway
• Encana and Stampeder fields are being prepped for paving
An updated booking schedule has been provided to the contractor. Operations continues to manage sports groups and spectators during construction. There will be no through traffic on 13 Avenue NW from July 13 – August 4, 2015. From July 13 to 22, the park can be accessed via Monserrat Drive NW. From July 24 to August 4, park access is restricted to Home Road NW. Parking is available at Shouldice Arena on the south side of the complex (see below map).
