City crews aim to do a complete sweep of streets and lanes in all storm-affected communities before the next snowfall. The goal is by early November, crews will have made sweeps through all communities at least once, and corrective pruning by the end of November.
To date, city crews have completed sweeps in Renfrew, Bridgeland, Riverside, Crescent Heights and Rosedale. Headway was also made in Lake Bonavista, Acadia, Scarborough, Hounsfield Heights and Briar Hill. Most regional parks and pathways are now open and the remaining within the next two weeks.
In the next few days, crews will be working in: Sunnyside; Mission; Scarborough; Roxboro; Inglewood; Hillhurst; Cliff Bungalow; Southview; Edgemont; Winston Heights; Ramsay; Capitol Hill; Acadia; Midnapore; Willow Park; West Hillhurst; Ogden; Sunalta and Fairview. For the most up to date information, visit the Pick up, Pitch in and Pull together website.
Please continue to help out in any way you can. If possible, bring as much tree debris to city landfills. When you see crews make their way through your neighbourhood, move your vehicles off the street and if possible, from back alleys.
Note - If you see a tree marked with red tape, this means crews will revisit that specific tree once the initial sweep is done.
