Our thoughts are with the communities who have been affected by the recent flooding in Calgary. The City of Calgary continues to work diligently in responding to the changing flood situation. Thank you for the help and support you have offered to those impacted by this disaster. Your continued support will be needed as we enter the clean-up and re-entry phase of this event.
Our ward office in City Hall is one of the locations in Calgary directly impacted by floodwater. The office is inaccessible to us at the moment and we are without access to our computers and voice mail. A contingency plan is now being executed to set up temporary office space as soon as possible. When our alternate work space is ready and operational we will let everyone know.
In the meantime please contact 311 for assistance and 911 in case of emergency. The Calgary City News Blog has the most up to date information on this flood event and we encourage you to check it often.
Please remember that the City of Calgary remains in a state of local emergency with its first priority being your safety and well-being. Please be cautious as you re-enter flood affected areas.
