On July 31, 2018 Council approved a Vote of the Electors in respect to Calgary hosting the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Vote 2018 will take place on Tuesday, November 13 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

 
The question on the ballot will be:
Are you for or are you against Calgary hosting the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games?
__ I am for Calgary hosting
__ I am against Calgary hosting
 
Voting Opportunities:
 
Who is eligible to Vote
You are eligible to vote in the 2018 Vote if on Vote Day (November 13th, 2018), you:
·         Are at least 18 years of age; and
·         Are a Canadian citizen; and
·         Have resided in Alberta since May 13th, 2018; and
·         Are a resident of The City of Calgary on Vote Day;
Advanced Vote
It is encouraged that voters vote at the stations closest to their homes.
·         November 6 and 7 – Advance Vote 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. (14 locations, one in each ward)
·         November 6 – Mount Royal University 11 a.m. - 5p.m.
·         November 7 – University of Calgary 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
·         Senior’s Accommodation Vote (November 6 & 7)
 
Special (Mail-in) Ballots
Applications are available and can be made online, in person or over the phone until November 13th, 2018 at noon. You may request a mail-in ballot if you are unable to vote during the Advance Vote or on Vote Day because:
·         of physical incapacity; or
·         you are absent from the city; or
·         you are working Vote day as a vote worker or volunteering/working on a campaign.

Voting on Vote Day
Vote Day is Novemeber 13th, 2018.
 
Voters must vote at their designated voting station on Vote Day. Voting stations will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Vote Day.
