By now Calgary property and business owners will have received in the mail the 2013 Property and Business Assessment Notices.
The 60-day Customer Review Period runs from 2013 January 03 to March 04, and provides property and business owners the opportunity to review their assessment and learn more about Calgary’s assessment process.
As legislated by the Province of Alberta through the Municipal Government Act, 2013 Property Assessment values are based on a 2012 July 1st market valuation date and a 2012 December 31st physical condition date as legislated by the Province of Alberta.
So, it is important that you review your assessment and address any concerns within the customer review period. The City offers online tools and resources through its Assessment Search website that can be useful.
