Ward 11 official website

Last year the City completed the Phase I installation of the new storm trunk on 37th Street SW. After a break over the winter, the crews will be back to complete site rehabilitation, including landscaping. To complete this work safely and effectively, traffic and parking restrictions will be in effect from April 20th to June 30th, 2016.

Parking restrictions:

  • Parking on 37th Street SW will not be permitted during construction to facilitate traffic flow and maintain public safety

Traffic restrictions:

  • Southbound traffic will be detoured to 54th Avenue SW (including cyclists)
  • South of 54th Avenue SW, traffic will be restricted to one-way northbound travel (single file condition for motorists and cyclists)
  • Two-way traffic will be permitted north of 54th Avenue SW

There will be a final inspection at the end of construction to ensure the entire site is restored to its original state. For constructions updates or more information about the project vsiit calgary.ca/stormtrunk.
