Ward 11 News: Canadian Anti-Spam Law

  • Share

Ward 11 official website

In an effort to keep Ward 11 residents up-to-date regarding what Council is working on, we occasionally send email updates. As of July 1st the new Canadian Anti-Spam Law came into effect; as a result, we now need your express consent to send you email updates.

Our updates include publications, announcements, invitations and other news and information that may be of a commercial nature. This doesn’t mean that we are trying to sell you anything, but without your express consent we cannot send you information about anything that could result in a financial transaction. For example, without your express consent we cannot send you an email encouraging you to become a member of your community association, or send you information about a community event where you may end up purchasing something.

We typically send information regarding projects that are taking place in Ward 11, along with some larger city-wide projects, and information about open houses and community events. We also send information about issues that have come to Council, such as Action Plan 2015-2018, spring street cleaning and changes to the Flood Land Use Bylaw.

If you would like us to send you email updates, please fill out the Contact Ward 11 form on our webpage.
