As part of their nextCITY
initiative, The City of Calgary’s Planning, Development & Assessment (PDA) department has announced changes to its’ structure. PDA is now comprised of City Wide Policy & Integration, Local Area Planning & Implementation, Inspections & Permit Services and Assessment. Along with the change in structure
, the department also announced Directors and Managers
for their newly established business units and divisions.
These changes were approved by Council in January 2014 and are slowly being phased in. These changes will help improve the planning system and customer experience.
This doesn’t mean that everything will change though. If you need to request a permit or submit a development application in person, you will still use the intake counter on the 3rd floor of the Municipal Building.
