Ward 11 News: Crowchild Trail Study Fall Update

  • Share

Ward 11 official website

Crowchild Trail is an integral component of Calgary’s transportation network. The City of Calgary is conducting a new six-phase study for Crowchild Trail from 24 Avenue NW to 17 Avenue SW. Although this does not pass through our ward boundaries, it is an important commuter road to other parts of the city.

The City is now in Phase 5: Concept Selection and Recommendation. In this phase, the City will be presenting draft recommendations for the medium and long-term plan for changes and upgrades to Crowchild Trail. Over the course of the next several weeks, the project team will continue to work with Calgarians and stakeholders to gather feedback and input that will be used to help refine and finalize recommendations for Crowchild Trail. The final recommendations will be presented in Phase 6: Reporting and Completion in December 2016.

You can review the draft recommended plan and give input in-person at the following engagement events, as well as online:

Open House #1 - Saturday, October 1
Time: 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
Location: Sunalta School, Main Gym – 536 Sonora Avenue SW

Open House #2 - Monday, October 3
Time: 5:00 to 8:00 pm
Location: Red and White Club, McMahon Stadium – 1833 Crowchild Trail NW
