In December of last year, a Land Use Amendment Application
and Development Permit were submitted for the Oakridge Co-op site at 2580
Southland Drive SW. The property is currently designated as Commercial –
Community 2 District. The applicants are seeking to redesignate the property to
a Direct Control District. The rezoning would facilitate a mixed use
development which would include a new grocery store, medical building, a multi-family
residential development and a mixed-use office tower. A total of 4 new
buildings and 266 units are proposed.
