Would you like to provide feedback on the psychosocial flood response effort? If so, Dr. Michael Trew, Chief Addiction and Mental Health Officer with Alberta Health Services, will be hosting public feedback sessions in flood affected areas.
The two Calgary sessions, open to everyone affected by the June 2013 flood, will be held:
• October 14, 2014 (6 – 8 pm) – North Calgary at the Bowness Community Centre
• October 20, 2014 (6 – 8 pm) – Central Calgary at the Hillhurst-Sunnyside Community
The aim of these sessions is to gather feedback on what supports and services were most successful in meeting Albertan’s social and emotional needs, both immediately after the floods and in the time since. This will help contribute with the recovery process.
Please note, they are aware that individuals may still have concerns about funding programs and other aspects of recovery, these sessions are specifically intended to gather feedback on psychosocial interventions.
If you would like to participate in either of these sessions you will need to register by contacting Kristin Lins at 1-877-500-0795 or Kristin.firstname.lastname@example.org.
