Ward 3 News: Farewell and Thank You Ward 3

Ward 3 official website

On October 16th you will be voting for a new Councillor for Ward 3.  As many of you already know, I will be retiring from public office and will not seek re-election.

For the past 10 years I have had the privilege of serving the citizens of Ward 3. I have worked with many volunteers and organizations, who shared my vision of making Ward 3 a great place to live, work and play. We should all be proud of the work we have done.

I would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank my staff, Lynne Banning and Barb Fleet. As my eyes and ears in the community, their assistance with resident concerns and support of the communities through the community associations has been exceptional.

The election on October 16th will see significant changes to the current Ward 3 boundaries.  Redstone, Skyview Ranch, Cityscape, Cornerstone, Saddle Ridge and Taradale will now become part of Ward 5.  Ward 3 will welcome Hidden Valley/Hansen Ranch and Country Hills to the existing communities of Coventry Hills, Harvest Hills Country Hills Village and Panorama Hills.

I have always appreciated residents taking the time to contact my office to share their comments and concerns and I encourage you all to continue to be involved in your community and your city. Engaged citizens are the lifeblood of Ward 3 and the City of Calgary and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work for you.
