Ward 3 News: Land Use Bylaw Discovery

As a stakeholder that uses the Land Use Bylaw (LUB) you make decisions about development that directs how the City of Calgary grows and evolves. You, as our customers and stakeholders, have the task of understanding and interpreting the Land Use Bylaw  when conducting your business or working in your community.

On that note, the Planning, Development & Assessment department is looking for your participation in an Ideation* session to help determine where the Land Use Bylaw could be improved or amended. This is an opportunity for you to share your thoughts and ideas regarding where the strengths and areas for improvement are that you experience while working with the Land Use Bylaw. If you use the LUB and want to get involved, we will be holding two (2) Ideation* sessions January 28, 2015, at the BMO Centre.

You can register for one of the Ideation sessions by clicking on the time you would prefer to attend (below) and follow the instructions.

Session #1: 7:30am-9:30am
Session #2: 5:30pm-7:30pm

*Ideation links a group together – large or small through technology– so that each participant can simultaneously contribute thoughts and ideas. Your ideas will be collected by Ipsos and the City of Calgary in a live format using tablets. In addition you will have an opportunity to voice your opinions verbally throughout the course of a session. The flexibility of the tool enables high-powered sessions in a workshop format.
