Residents in Calgary's Ward 5 communities are invited to join Alderman Ray Jones on his Fourth Annual Community Cleanup Day, Saturday June 21, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Arrive early as items will NOT be accepted after 2 p.m.
Friends, families and neighbours can spend a few hours cleaning up an important area in Ward 5 - a yard, local park, street or alley, or other local area in need of improvement.
The City of Calgary Waste & Recycling Services and other recycling companies will be on site to collect residential waste and recycling materials at no charge. This includes tires, steel, miscellaneous metals and appliances, electronics and items for shredding. Residents can bring waste materials to one of seven locations. Commercial refuse will NOT be accepted.
Contact your community association directly to volunteer.
