Oct 1, 2015 is the United Nations International Day of the Older Person (UNIDOP) and National Seniors Day. UNIDOP is a way to recognize the amazing contributions older adults have made, still make, and will continue to make in our communities.
By the year 2036, it is estimated that one in five Calgarians will be a senior. The City of Calgary is currently leading the development of a Senior Age-Friendly Strategy to help plan for the growing number of older adults. Visit calgary.ca/AgeFriendly for further information.
Is there an older adult in your life you can say thanks too?
