For last couple months, we’ve been working with the Traffic Signal Engineers on updating the light synchronization West of Sarcee along 17th Ave. The current controllers are only able to choose between two phases when in pre-emption, while the new controllers will allow for more flexibility and control multiple signal lights, including pedestrian crossings. As safety is the primary concern, engineers are currently testing, and updating programs on the new controllers to eliminate any chance of malfunction. We are very sorry for the delay, and are working hard to resolve this as quickly as possible.
