ELBOW VALLEY SITE UPDATE

Silvera for Seniors is moving forward to redevelop the Elbow Valley site. The City has approved the required utility connections and completion of 50 Ave. SW along the south boundary of the site. Silvera's contractor has been busy clearing the site and preparing it for utility installation and road construction. In recent weeks, Glamorgan residents may have noticed some tree removal, stockpiling of fill materials, and access trenches for underground utilities.

In November utility connections will temporarily impact traffic flow for some residents in three specific locations:
  •  45 St. SW between Glenmore and 49 Ave. SW,
  • 49 Ave. SW east of 45 St. to the laneway,
  • A portion of the rear lane behind Glamorgan Crescent SW.

Wheather permitting, WHISSEL Contracting Ltd. anticipates all site preparation work will be completed by early December. Construction of the Horizon Housing buildings on the east portion of the site is expected to start in spring 2017.

Silvera continues to focus on being a good neighbour and part of the community. For your safety, please do not enter the fenced-off construction areas.
