On Tuesday, October 24 my staff and I hosted our second Open House of 2012 at the Glamorgan Community Centre. We were proud to see a great turn out, with residents from all the different communities in Ward 6 in attendance. We were also very impressed with the level of engagement Ward 6 residents clearly desire and the thorough, well thought-out questions that we were asked that evening.
Open Houses are a great tool for my staff and I, as well as City department representatives, to understand the needs and concerns of residents before those concerns escalate. It also gives residents the opportunity to get to know us.
We hope that everyone who attended walked away with useful information from our various participants and your Ward 6 office team, as well as answers to your specific questions. You Ward 6 staff are always there to answer questions or provide information if you did not get the information you were looking for at the Open House.
We will host our next Open House in the spring of 2013 and will keep residents informed through our website and W6 Report as planning progresses. We hope to see you there!
