As part of the recent development agreement on Paskapoo Slopes, The City has acquired a significant tract of land that will become a new regional park. This is an exciting opportunity to formally recognize the area’s cultural and natural value.
In the past few years we have heard very clearly what the area means to those who use and enjoy it. We want to make sure you have opportunities for meaningful input into the park’s design.
Work is starting soon to prepare for this project. We expect to have opportunities for stakeholder input by late 2016 or early 2017. Opportunities will be shared as they are available, and updates will be available at calgary.ca/paskapoo.
Biking and walking access to Paskapoo slopes maintained during Trinity Hills construction
Many of the trails on the upper slopes will remain open during the Trinity Hills construction project. However, parking and some access points have changed with the start of construction in the development area. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the area while respecting the natural environment. Please don’t litter and stay off protected areas. Please use at your own risk.
The following map outlines how to access the slopes, what trails are open, and other important details for those who visit this area.
