Construction on the new TransCanada Highway – Sarcee Trail Interchange is well underway. The video below shows how improvements will enhance the functionality of the existing interchange and facilitate access to the Trinity Hills development. Higher than average rainfall has slowed progress on the interchange work, so construction is now about 30 per cent complete. However, work is ongoing with no major road closures or detours anticipated in the near future. The current temporary traffic detours will be in place until end of this construction season. Some temporary, short-term shoulder and lane closures are expected to occur intermittently.
The current construction schedule is being evaluated to determine if there are any impacts to the key completion dates. The schedule is weather dependent and we will continue to provide public updates as we progress.
