Your Ward 6 team, along with senior planning staff at Calgary Transit, are committed to an ongoing review of the feeder bus network in the West LRT service area. Some minor adjustments have already been made in response to feedback and data obtained during the first weeks of service and we anticipate further adjustments as more feedback and information become available to us.
The following adjustments were implemented as of January 7:
- Route 112 (Sarcee Rd) – the 6:15 a.m. trip now departs three minutes earlier at 6:12, with the addition of a new trip departing at 6:22.
- Route 94 (Strathcona/Westbrook) – a new trip has been added, departing 51 Street and 9 Avenue SW towards Westbrook Station at 5:25 a.m. A new trip departs Westbrook at 5:40 to 69 Street Station.
We have also increased weekday peak service on Route 452 (Wentworth) from every 45 minutes to every 22-23 minutes as of December 11 in response to feedback from residents. Several residents had contacted our office with concerns about the infrequency of Route 452 – particularly for school children, who sometimes had to arrive for school either very early or very late.
We have been hearing from residents in the various Ward 6 communities regarding the feeder bus network and are keeping track of common concerns and service gaps so that appropriate solutions can be developed. We are in daily contact with Transit officials, helping to guide service adjustments and to discuss more substantial adjustment options.
