311 Call Volumes For Ward 6

An average of 4,061 calls a month

  •  1,815 Administrative requests (e.g. license requests, license transaction on the web, Peace Officer reviews, information requests, etc.)
  • 2,246 Non-administrative service requests

The most common non-administrative service requests between January 1, 2013 and August 31, 2013, which comprise 70.9% of the requests were:

  1. Bylaw – property maintenance concerns (492)
  2. Bylaw – waste and sign concerns (403)
  3. Corporate – graffiti concerns (269)
  4. Animal Service – animal at large (249)
  5. Bylaw – trees, vegetation and grass concerns (180)

Our job is to meet citizen needs and offer our programs and services in ways that are easily accessible. We know that education encourages compliance, which is why we always stress compliance prior to enforcement.


2013 Year-End Animal & Bylaw Services overview for Wards 1-14

  • 131,739 total service requests and calls for service from January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2013
  • 76,035 calls for service requests (SRs) from January 1, 2013, to December 31, 2013
  • 55,704 administrative requests from January 1, 2013, to December 31, 2013

The most common service requests were:

  • Bylaw - Waste and Sign Concerns (14,838)
  • Bylaw - Property Maintenance Concerns (12,643)
  • Corporate - Graffiti Concerns (9,773)
  • AS - Animal at Large (7,245)
  • Bylaw - Trees, Weeds and Grass Concerns (5,226)

In 2013, through Corporate Co-ordinating Graffiti Abatement Program, ABS removed 172,371 square feet of graffiti.
