Consisting of 49 acres in the heart of downtown Calgary, East Village has evolved over the past 10 years from a community that was known for its vacant lots and abandoned plans, to a community with a bright future. Since 2007, I have championed the Rivers District Community Revitalization Plan and Calgary Municipal Land Corporation so that this evolution could take place.
On 5 February 2013, I had the opportunity to participate in a discussion about the evolution of East Village and how the National Music Centre will become a part of the transformation. To hear the interview with Amery Calvelli of CJSW, Andrew Mosker of The National Music Centre, and the National Music Centre’s architect Brad Cloepfil, please go here.
