East Village Area Redevelopment Plan (ARP)
The City is in the process of reviewing and proposing updates to the East Village ARP, last updated in 2010. The updates will facilitate development of the area, which is meant to be an urban, mixed-use neighbourhood. The draft East Village ARP is now available for review and comment.
In these open house panels, you will find the details of the ARP review, as presented at an open house that was held in June 2014. You will learn about the development goals for East Village and why this ARP review is needed.
Online Open House
From Nov. 24 to Dec. 22, 2014, The City hosted an online open house and survey which shared the objectives and project direction for reviewing the East Village Area Redevelopment Plan (ARP), and asked citizens to prioritize what types of amenities would be most valued in East Village.
During the online event, 405 people visited the webpage and over 100 surveys were completed. We want to thank you for your thoughtful comments and the effort you made to contribute to the process.
