Let's talk about the Sunnyside Triangle Site!
The City of Calgary owns the Sunnyside Triangle site at 1020 2 Avenue NW. In recent months, the Hillhurst Sunnyside Community Association has leased the site from The City of Calgary, and has used it as an outdoor community meeting space. Now The City of Calgary is looking at affordable housing for the site.

The Affordable Housing division of the Office of Land Servicing and Housing (OLSH) aims to provide affordable housing units in all Calgary communities. Plans for the Sunnyside Triangle site include development as a mixed-use complex, including affordable and mixed-market housing. The complex would help provide options for the 18 percent of Calgary households requiring affordable housing.
From fall 2015 to spring 2016, OLSH is coordinating a community engagement process so the public can provide input on plans for the Sunnyside Triangle site.
