Lions Park Station is located in Hounsfield Heights, only one LRT station away from SAIT Polytechnic, and provides quick and convenient transit access to neighbourhoods, a library, 16th Avenue, and the North Hill Mall. The Plan is exploring ideas of mixed-use development on the commercial lands north of the station platform.
Plan Status: On Hold
The Lions Park Station Area Plan is on hold until further notice. In reviewing the Land Use Planning & Policy Workplan, City Council removed the Lions Park Station Area Plan.
Community residents and other stakeholders will be notified if the Lions Park Plan is placed back in the work plan when it is reviewed at the end of 2009.
