Large or complex developments are presented to the Calgary Planning Commission for a decision. Applicants are informed when their proposal will be presented to Calgary Planning Commission.
The Development Authority or Calgary Planning Commission can decide to approve, approve with conditions or refuse an application.
If the application is approved, it is advertised once in the Thursday Public Notice page of the Calgary Herald . Any appeal against an approval (or the conditions of an approval) must be made within 14 days of the newspaper notice. An applicant will be informed by double-registered mail of a refusal and has 14 days, from the date of receipt, to lodge an appeal.
