What's New Celebrate the Bow River this summer! Celebration of the Bow is a six-part public art series celebrating Calgary's precious Bow River. Public Art? There's an App for That! The new iPhone app lets you get up close and personal with 16 public artworks in downtown Calgary. Current Exhibits OPEN SPACES: Window to a View An installation at the Centre St. CTrain station featuring art by Roxanne Driediger and Erin Belanger (August - October). Life Near Gjoa Haven - Inuit Art This stunning exhibit of 12 Inuit textile artworks is available for short-term loan from the City of Calgary Civic Art Collection to schools and community groups. Featured Public Art Triclopse  (480 KB) - a new public art installation by Luke Blackstone at 80th Ave and Saddletowne Close N.E. The City of Calgary Public Art Program provides cultural leadership and opportunity, guides the evolution of a distinct and vibrant artistic character for the City's emerging public places, and ensures a visual legacy for all to enjoy. The program is a Council-approved system of processes that guide how the City commissions, acquires and manages its visual art pieces and collections.
