Transportation Infrastructure

Please visit our project webpage for more information on the Peace Bridge, Calgary's newest pedestrian crossing over the Bow River.

Transportation Infrastructure (TI) was created in 2005 to manage a large number of transportation projects over the next several years. Specifically, TI's mandate is to design and construct Calgary's road and transit infrastructure including roads, LRT extensions, garages, Inner City Transportation Study (ICTS) and Traffic Calming Projects.

These projects include new interchanges, road widenings, pedestrian bridges, LRT extensions, LRV maintenance facilities and road and intersection improvements, in addition to overseeing land development opportunities around LRT stations.

Information on current construction projects can be found on this site. For future transportation projects, please visit Transportation Planning, and for information on road maintenance and traffic operations, please visit Roads.
