The City of Calgary: Household Chemical Drop-off Program

Household Chemical Drop-Off Program

Waste & Recycling Services

Drop off your household chemicals today, tomorrow or any day at any of our convenient drop-off depots

Waste & Recycling Services with the Calgary Fire Department, offers year-round chemical drop-off depots. Residents can take their household chemicals free of charge to any of The City landfill Throw N' Go areas or designated fire stations with special storage depots. Once material has been accepted at these depots it cannot be released to the public.

This program is for residential household chemicals only. It is not available to business owners or industrial operators.

When you deposit your household chemicals at one of the fire stations, please speak to staff on duty so they can properly sort and store your products. Please make sure your household chemicals are clearly labeled and sealed properly, if possible in the original containers. It's important because household chemicals pose a danger to our workers, your family, your pets, your neighbourhood and the environment.

Household chemicals can be taken to one of the following permanent year-round locations.
