"Clean and Cool Running Water, Archives' Exhibit' display

Prior to the completion of the then state-of-the-art Glenmore Reservoir and Water Treatment Plant in 1933, Calgarians endured low water pressure in winter, muddy water in the spring and tepid water in the summer months. Drop by the Municipal Building Atrium and explore the history of Calgary’s early water supply. Archival records and photographs illustrate Calgary’s struggle to provide consistently clean and cool drinking water to its citizens.

Date: February 2019 until the Fall of 2019

Location: Atrium of the Municipal Building, 800 Macleod Trail SE.
