Bedroom Fire Safety

Your bedroom should have at least two exits. Since fires can happen when you are asleep, you should plan your escape in advance.

What you can do to prevent a fire:

  • Have a working smoke alarm in or just outside your sleeping area.
  • Know how to unlock doors and windows. Security bars should be equipped with a quick-release device.
  • Never smoke in bed.
