Public Art Freeze Mob

On Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, the Public Art Program led a temporary public art intervention on Stephen Avenue Mall, in celebration of public art, the Civic Art Collection, and the city’s thriving arts and culture scene.

Participants created a freeze mob of William McElcheran's iconic statue Conversation on the block surrounding the artwork, with some then breaking into an improvised interpretation of the conversation taking place between the two men.

The event captured the attention of passer-bys - many of whom stopped to take pictures and listen to the conversations taking place. Check out our video and photo gallery below!

Thanks to all who came out to join in the fun - see you next time!
