About the Southwest Calgary Ring Road

The Southwest Calgary Ring Road (SWRR) is one of the last sections of the Calgary Ring Road, which will circle the city when completed.

The Government of Alberta is responsible for the design, construction, management and operation of Calgary's Ring Road, while the City of Calgary is responsible for the design and construction of street connections to the SWRR, road improvements, and intersection improvements, because they are located within city limits.

The design and construction of the SWRR has been contracted to KGL Constructors. Their website contains additional information on construction, changes to traffic patterns, and detours.
