What bags, containers and lids can you recycle?

Not sure if your plastic bag, bubble wrap or coffee cup lid can be recycled?

Follow the steps below to see whether your plastic bag, container or lid should go in the Blue Cart for recycling or Black Cart for garbage.

What plastic bags can I recycle?

If you can stretch the bag with your thumb, it can be bundled with other bags for recycling.

YES it stretches

Examples:
Ziploc bags
Grocery bags
Bubble wrap
Bread bags

Bundle into a single
stretchy bag and
securely tie closed.

What lids can I recycle?

Put coffee lids in the garbage. They are too light to be sorted for recycling.

Three inches and up;
Or, about the size of your palm
