What has stayed the same:
Places of Worship
- Face coverings are required in places of worship in The City of Calgary. The Face Coverings Bylaw requires face coverings in places of worship, although the Provincial mask mandate provides an exception. Because the provincial health order and bylaw stand concurrently, the bylaw requiring face coverings remains valid and enforceable.
Exemptions
- children under 2 years of age;
- persons with an underlying medical condition or disability which inhibits their ability to wear a face covering;
- persons who are unable to place, use or remove a face covering safely without assistance;
- persons who are seated at a table or bar at a public premises that offers food or beverage services;
- persons engaging in an athletic or fitness activity;
- persons who are caregiving for or accompanying a person with a disability where wearing a face covering would hinder the accommodation of the person’s disability; or
- persons who have temporarily removed their face covering where doing so is necessary to provide or receive a service

Repeal Criteria
- The active case rate (per 100,000 population) in the City of Calgary falls to less than 100 cases, as published by Alberta Health, for 10 consecutive days; or December 31, 2021; whichever is earlier
