Title: Jan Bradley, Director/Chief Information Technology Officer
Areas of focus: As the Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO), Jan works with her colleagues to enable City business units to use technology as an integral part of delivering services to citizens. The CITO oversees the investment, delivery and sustainment of The City’s technology infrastructure and leads planning for the development and growth of City business applications and communication systems.
Career history: Jan joined The City of Calgary in 2006 after relocating from Ontario. During her career with The City she has worked in Information Technology (IT) delivering application solutions to a broad range of clients, including Roads, Water Resources and Water Services, Assessment, Finance and Planning. Jan has held progressively more responsible positions starting as an analyst, moving into a Leader role, and prior to becoming CITO, was the Manager of Client Solutions, a division in IT, for four years. As Manager, Jan led teams in areas ranging from software project delivery to enterprise architecture, business process management, development support, identity management and eGovernment. Under her leadership these teams worked together to provide an integrated approach to software solution delivery for clients.
