When employees are healthy and engaged, and sickness and injuries are effectively managed, an organization is said to be healthy. We all have a role to play to make this happen.

Supervisors should encourage and support the health and wellbeing of their employees at work. Despite healthy practices, your employees may experience health issues that affect their ability to work. The support provided to them through their journey can help them recover more quickly, shorten their absence from work and increase their chance of success when returning to work.

Employees need to take their health in their own hands and leverage the programs and resources The City and our community provides to help maintain wellness. However, when illness, incidents or life changes do affect your ability to work, you have options and support.
