Technical requirements for the Employee Portal

What browser/device do I need to access The City of Calgary Employee Portal?

The City of Calgary Employee Portal is designed to be compatible with the following browsers and devices:

  • Google Chrome 12 and above
  • Mozilla Firefox versions 3.5 and above
  • Safari 5
  • Internet Explorer 11 and above
  • Apple iPhone Operating System 7 and above
  • Android Operating System 2.3 and above

Do I need to turn off pop-up blockers?

Yes. myHRconnect includes PDF “how to guides” and information. In order for these to open, your pop-up blocker must be turned off. This can be done by looking under Options in your browser settings.

In order to download resources, how to guides and frequently asked questions on the Employee Portal, you need a PDF reader. Portable Document Format (PDF) files are viewed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. PDF files provide the easiest way to view and print a document that looks as close to the original document as possible. A free copy of Acrobat Reader can be downloaded from Adobe's site.

Who do I call if I need technical support?

If you are a City of Calgary Employee, for technical support call 403-268-8008. If you are not a City of Calgary Employee call 311 for support.​​​
