Safety Expo

​Community education and prevention program promoting public safety. Each year, Safety Expo hosts grade 5 and 6 students at fun, interactive displays and workshops. The lessons meet Alberta Education Health and Wellness curriculum requirements. Ongoing community cost? No

Licensing cats and dogs

​Licensing pets not only help to reunite lost cats and dogs with their owners, it also helps to educate pet owners about the Responsible Pet Ownership Bylaw. Ongoing community costs? No

Partners in Planning

​The City and the Federation of Calgary Communities offer help to learn the development planning and approval process. The program is open to anyone and completing the certificate will give you the necessary skills, knowledge, and tools; needed to actively and effectively participate in the planning process. Report bus shelter vandalism

​If you see someone damaging a shelter, call 911 immediately. If you notice a shelter has been damaged and needs repair: Call 403-262-1000. Report via 311 online services. Call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 to report anonymously someone who has vandalized a shelter or if you have evidence of someone vandalizing a shelter. Ongoing community cost? No

Transit watch

​Transit Watch is a public awareness and education campaign, encouraging Calgary Transit staff and customers to help keep Calgary Transit safe by being aware of their surroundings and alert to activities, packages or situations that seem suspicious. If something out of the ordinary is observed, it should be reported immediately to the bus or light rail operator, uniformed Calgary Transit Peace Officer, or law enforcement authorities.
