To plan and facilitate building a great Calgary.
To meet the hopes and aspirations of communities through great planning by facilitating development and ensuring Calgarians have a safe place to live and work.
The City of Calgary uses traffic calming measures to address existing traffic issues on residential and low volume collector roads. These measures mostly involve altering road conditions with vertical deflections, horizontal narrowing and traffic flow changes.
Main Streets program
A three phase project focusing on Calgary's 24 main streets, active areas and transportation routes where Calgarians live, work, and play. The program analyses stakeholder needs, economic area overview, and identifying future growth success criteria.
Station area planning
Along the new Green Line, Community planning will plan areas around the station to create attractive and walkable urban areas where people have opportunity to live, work, and play without depending on an automobile.
