The City of Calgary uses Microsoft tools for secure online collaboration with citizens, external agencies, and the general public. If a City contact shares a file with you using Microsoft OneDrive for Business, here are some tips and tricks to make it easier for you to connect.
City sharing a file with you
The City uses Microsoft OneDrive for Business to securely share files. If a City contact emails you a link to a file:
- If you do not have a Microsoft account associated with the email address where you received the link, follow this process.
- If you have a Microsoft account associated with the email address where you received the link, follow this process.
- The Microsoft account you use to access the files must use the same email address you provided to your City contact to allow access to the files. If it is not the same email address, you will not be able to access the files.
- If you secured your account using an old phone number you don’t have anymore, please ask your City contact to call The City’s Information Technology Help Desk to reset the way you secure your account so you can enter in your new contact information.
