Youth justice services

A Valuable Service
Very few young Calgarians are involved in the youth justice system. However, those who are can have a big impact in the community. Our services and partnership programs aim to address this impact in an effective manner to help the young offender, their family, and the affected community.
Calgary, in partnership with Alberta Justice and Solicitor General, delivers youth justice services at a municipal level. This allows us to collaborate with local agencies to create custom youth justice solutions. Our youth probation officers are Registered Social Workers, which allows for an emphasis on linking youth to needed resources and ensures that issues at both individual and community level are addressed.
