Stay home and away from others if you:

  • are showing symptoms or are feeling unwell
  • have travelled outside of Canada in the past 14 days
  • are a close contact of someone who has tested positive or are waiting for test results for COVID-19

Masks and face coverings

Masks must be worn at all times except when participating in activities. Trainers, coaches and instructors must wear masks at all times. 

How we're keeping you safe

  • Making sure our facilities align with provincial guidelines
  • Cleaning and disinfecting high touch areas (e.g. doors, counters, railings)
  • Providing access to hand sanitizer and hand wash stations
  • Having staff maintain physical distancing and wear face coverings
  • Providing an appointment system to manage occupancy numbers
  • Providing opportunities to collect contact information so we can notify you if there's a positive COVID-19 case

How you and your group can keep safe

  • During your activity, maintain increased physical distancing (3 metres apart)
  • During non-activities (e.g. moving through the facility), maintain regular physical distancing (3 metres apart)
  • Wash your hands with soap and water before and after your activity
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, mouth and face
  • Cover coughs and sneezes in a tissue or your elbow
  • Carry and use your own hand sanitizer
  • Bring your own water bottle and towels; do not share water bottles and towels
  • Arrive no more than 10 minutes before your appointment time
  • Don’t gather or loiter in change rooms or public areas before, during or after your appointment time

Aquatics specific measures

  • Hot tubs, whirlpools and steam rooms remain closed
  • Change rooms and showers will be available for swimming activities with physical distancing restrictions in place
    • Where space is tight, you may be asked to use a bin/basket for your belongings instead of change room lockers
  • No sharing equipment unless you are in the same household
  • Stretching on the pool deck or in the water is not allowed
  • You must leave the building at the end of your appointment time no matter when you started your activity

Fitness/Weight Room specific measures

  • High-intensity activities are not allowed at this time
  • Users must be at least 16 years old or have a City of Calgary Youth Strength Training card/sticker before entering the weight room
  • Weight Room capacity depends on the space and equipment available at each facility
  • Do not share equipment unless you are in the same household
  • Arrive dressed in workout gear as change rooms are not available for these types of activities; clean indoor shoes are required
  • Bring and clean your own yoga equipment
  • Masks must be worn at all times; for set up and clean up, and during your low-intensity activity
  • Users must sanitize equipment before and after use; supplies will be provided
  • Equipment may be limited due to physical distancing requirements; do not use equipment marked as out of service
  • Equipment may be temporarily relocated to allow for physical distancing; look for signage when you arrive

  • Where possible (location dependent) spectators are allowed at 1/3 fire capacity, MUST be seated, wearing masks and maintain 2 meters apart from other spectators
  • Athletes should come dressed in gear as much as possible
  • Bring and clean your own equipment. Avoid sharing equipment unless you are in the same household; Do not share water bottles and towels
  • Arrive no more than 10 minutes before your booking time
  • Don’t gather or loiter in change rooms or public areas before, during or after your activity
  • Leave the location as soon as your activities end to reduce overlap of bookings
