Important information for evacuees in Calgary
At the direction of the Government of Northwest Territories, government-sponsored hotels are no longer available in Calgary for evacuees of Yellowknife, Ndilo, Dettah and the Ingraham Trail.
All government-sponsored re-entry flights to Yellowknife for those staying in Calgary are now complete. Yellowknife residents still requiring assistance in getting home should email the Government of the Northwest Territories at email@example.com
Evacuees from the South Slave Region (Enterprise, Fort Providence, Fort Resolution, Fort Smith, Hay River, Kakisa and Kátł’odeeche First Nation) are still under an evacuation order and will be returning home at a later date.
If you are from the South Slave Region, Emergency Social Services from The City of Calgary will contact you about your ongoing accommodations if you registered with The City when you arrived.
Visit the Government of Northwest Territories for more information about your safe return home.
