Discover. Experience. Celebrate. Calgary Culture Days: Sept. 1 - 30th

Culture Days is an annual celebration of arts, culture, heritage, diversity and community spirit.

  • Discover the vibrant cultural landscape of our city with events happening downtown and in neighbourhoods across Calgary. 

  • Experience local arts and culture throughout the month. There’s something for everyone, including music, festivals, theatre, cultural events, artist exhibits and more.

  • Celebrate all that arts and culture contributes to making Calgary a vibrant place to live, work and play.

Calgary Culture Days coincides with Alberta Culture Days through Sept. and with National Culture Days, celebrated Sept. 20 – Oct. 13.

Three days and two nights of the biggest STEAM party of the year! Time to get stoked for two premium events: Beakernights – packed with amazing guests, music, food, programming, the return of Beaker Bar, specialty cocktails, keynote speakers, live science and more! And three Beakerdays that include family friendly programming, live science, special guests, Hack the House, special STEAM inspired acts, music and more. Tickets include exploring the whole science centre!

Night Light

Sep. 26 - 28 from 6 - 11 p.m.

Victoria Park - 12 Ave. S.E.

Night Light is a 3-night celebration of curated light, art and performance that will transform the Victoria Park community into an incredible display of light and art. Interactive art installations, projection-mapped architecture and live performances will provide endless entertainment while fostering a culture of “seeding” the next generation of local artists in new and exciting art forms, spotlighting Calgary and local artists.

Lantern-Fest

Sep. 28 from 6 - 8 p.m.

Southview Community Association - 2020 33 St. S.E.

Lantern-Fest is a celebration of the unique cultural lantern festivals around the world, bringing the community together to explore cultural diversity and creativity. Attendees can decorate their own 4" paper lantern (while supplies last) and join a procession to light up the neighborhood. Celebrate culture, creativity and community at this unique event.
